My FOUR Hour project this day. I'm thankful I had the energy and desire to clean. And to spend time with my children and get something useful done.
As you can see from the pictures. My children's room is CLEAN. It took me four hours to completely clean the whole room. I would like to give you a run down of what I did.
Well before I started. Before I moved any furniture, the bookcase is now where the blue dresser is and the dresser where the bookcase is. In front of the bookcase there was piles of books all over the floor and all over under Kara's bed. Also piled with the books were empty toy boxes and some toys. I started there and clean up all the toys moved the toy boxes and then put the books in boxes. I then moved the bookcase and vacuumed. Then I cleaned all the summer clothes of Kara's off the dresser and moved the dresser. I then decided that I was going to clean under Christopher's bed and vacuum. When I pulled his bed out the children saw a dead bug. Kara said "Mom don't touch the bug it may bite you." During this whole process the children were having so much fun helping me clean. I then moved Christopher's bed back. My next process was moving Kara's bed without dropping the pile of books I put on it. Once I got the bed moved. I found a very large pile of books under her bed with toys and stuffed animals mixed in. Both children went crazy with excitement. They helped me get the books and toys cleaned up. Then in the corner of the room I noticed that there was a spider. As most of you know. I hate spiders. So I was very careful not to disturb the spider til I could get the vacuum and suck it up. The children were really good about helping me. I then vacuumed up the spider and a couple dead bugs and the children helped pick up the remaining toys. We then very carefully moved Kara's bed back and started to organize the books in the bookcase. I took out all the coloring books and stacked them on the left side of the bookcase. And any broken books or comics were placed on the right side. They had so many books I could not fit them all. I had to get rid of some they just don't read and put a few on the side of the bookcase. I then put the dresser in it's place and moved the lamp and radio to the top of the dresser. I cleaned off Christopher's dresser that was piled with summer and too little clothes. Kara then helped me change and make her bed. And I did Christopher's with Danny's help. Kara had to arrange her animals for her bed. She could not decide where she wanted them. I then did one last vacuum of the room. I was so happy with what I had done. My neighbor and wonderful friend Linda had to come down and see. She was very impressed. I went to bed exhausted.
-Thankful for my Children. For all the help they gave me. They are such wonderful children. They bring so much joy to me.
-Thankful for the distraction. My whole purpose for cleaning was they needed it. But Danny lost his coat on Saturday night. We think he left it at McDonald's when we ate dinner. I called and they said they did not find it. So to get into my closet I had to clean to see if one of my older coats was in there. No luck on the Coat. We are going to need to get Danny a new coat. He has been using my coat for his newspaper route since it has been so cold. I am so thankful for all Danny does. It is so hard for him some days to get up at 2:00am and deliver newspapers. I am so thankful for all he does to help with children and working. Thank you my wonderful Danny. I Love you so much!
